UVM's Lebby and SMC's Kveno are the EISA Alpine Skiers of the Week!

Updated: Jan 26, 2022

It was a good week to be a Catamount, as UVM athletes locked down two of three podium spots in both the men's and women's slalom races (with three in the men's top 10 and five in the women's). In addition, two Vermont skiers grabbed top 10 spots in the women's GS race.

Stephanie Lebby, racing for UVM after two years in the EISA racing for Dartmouth as an undergrad, built on her considerable record of top 10 finishes with a 5th place finish in the GS and a 9th place finish in the slalom.

Eirik Kveno, a freshman at St. Michael's, is getting his EISA career off to a roaring start with a Skier of the Week title just two carnivals into his first season with the Purple Knights. Kveno skied to a 5th place finish in the GS and nabbed his first ever ESIA podium on Saturday with a 3rd place finish in the slalom.

Edit: an earlier version of this blog post incorrectly named Declan McCormack as the men's skier of the week. I apologize for this error!
